DIY: Stud Earring Holder

This s a tutorial on how to make a stud earring holder! You will need several things:

-acrylic paint of your choice: i used hot pink..they didnt have mint green :(
-small paint brush
-picture frame
- tacky glue (i used hot glue)
-craft foam of your choice (i used white)

Paint your picture frame, then let it dry.
Glue the inside edges of your picture frame and press in the foam that you have cut to fit the picture frame. Then, poke your earrings through the foam and put the backing onto the earring....and voila! You are finished!!! You can also put nail in the wall and hang your picture frame if you would like.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY. Let me know if you tried it out!!!

A Few Shots of Nature...

I have always been an avid lover of photography; I do it whenever I get the chance. I'm not saying I am a professional or I have amazing skills, I just do it for fun! Here are a few shots that I have taken in my front yard...yeah, 'cause I am just that cool ;)

Absolutely love this shade of yellow :)

I particularly love this one; I love the effect of the branches and leaves being in focus, and the pole in the background being our of focus. This creates a great visual focal point!

This one is similiar to the one above it; the tree is in focus, whereas the brick wall in the background is out of focus.

I love the combination of the light, dusty pink petals and the royal, rusty blue. Great colors!

Hope you enjoyed these photos....expect more in the near future!

Ball-chain Friendship Bracelets!

I saw this picture on Honestyly...WTF blog last week (I love their blog) and I was inspired. I had always loves making embroidery floss bracelets, but when I saw the ones with the rhinestones, I knew I HAD to recreate it! I went to the hardware store and picked up some ball chain, and this is how mine turned out:

I like the bling and glamour that the rhinestones gave the bracelets, but I was going for a more vintage and industrial look! I knotted up a chevron friendship bracelet, glued the ball chain onto the bracelet, and sewed it in for extra security! I love the finished result! Let me know if you like 'em!

If you would like for me to do a tutorial next week, let me know!

Trend Alert: Color Blocking!

This season, color blocking is huge! Everyone is doing it, so I thought I would style an outfit incorporating this trend.

Shirt: American Eagle $25
Jeans: American Eagle $40
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini "Liberty" Slip-ons ($66 at Nordstroms)
Belt: thrifted $3
Clutch: Tory Burch $95

I am absolutely in love with these shoes! These are the Enzo Angiolini "Liberty" Slip-ons. They come in all different colors! I really want to buy the mint green one (aahhh my favorite color!).

This shirt is already colorblock-esque, so it made the outfit very easy to style. I kept it neutral with the jeans, belt, and clutch and added a bit more color with the two-tone orange flats.

I am feeling great on a beautiful spring day!!!
